“Data Utilisation Communication Site” is now available.

Recognising Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan as an opportunity to explore the future of society, Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will promote the data utilisation initiative on the basis of the Expo’s concept “People’s Living Lab (a laboratory for a future society)”.

We are living in an era where various data plays an increasingly influential part in society and while data can be a driving force for realising people’s prosperous lives, if used incorrectly, its value as well as trust will be lost. It is therefore important to ensure that data is used appropriately and in a way that is safe for society. The Expo aims to provide a field for demonstration and return the know-how gained to society through the data utilisation initiative that balances the protection and use of data.
In order to examine specific measures for this initiative, the Data Utilisation Expert Committee was established and after discussions with experts, the Data Utilisation Guidelines were formulated. We will promote co-creation by linking various types of data generated through the experience of participating in the Expo between participants and strive to improve visitor services and leverage to better operate the Expo site in accordance with these guidelines.
Today, we are pleased to announce that we have launched the “Data Utilisation Communication Site” to disseminate information about our initiative.
